Chelsea Martino

Texas State Aquarium

Since she was a young girl, Chelsea knew she wanted to work with animals and The Texas State Aquarium is the place for that. She works closely with North American River Otters and has been a part of the rescue and rehabilitation efforts since their arrival. She enjoys being up close and personal with animals you wouldn’t usually see in the wild, and with everything the aquarium has to offer, she highly encourages locals and tourists alike to visit this incredible and unique establishment.

Amy Johnson

Corpus Christi Hooks

As the Ballpark Entertainment Manager, Amy oversees the marketing and entertainment opportunities for Corpus Christi Hooks. Game days are her favorite – she gets to see smiling faces, walk up and down the big stairs, and view the entire park, all while enjoying the smell of popcorn. She loves that attending a Hooks game isn’t just for baseball fans; anyone who attends the game will enjoy the experience from the game itself to the sunsets and views of the USS Lexington and Harbor Bridge. She invites everyone to come down for a whole ballpark experience filled with games, food, music, and fun.

Dr. Chuck Blend

Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History

A certified Texas Master Naturalist, Dr. Blend enjoys volunteering at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History. He gets to facilitate planetarium shows and teach visitors about all the museum’s wonderful exhibits. He enjoys that the museum offers a little bit of everything for the public– there’s elements of science and history, but he really enjoys working with the interactive exhibits where you’ll see someone dressed in period pieces, allowing you to experience the 19th century and more. He invites the public to visit the museum and attend one of his educational tours and “when you look at the night sky, you’ll keep looking up to explore astronomy and science."
